From April 1, 2024 there will be the „Deutschlandticket“ for students!
The General Students' Committee (AStA) and the university management have negotiated a significantly cheaper ticket offer for you with the Deutschlandticket compared to the previous RMV semester ticket. As a result, the portion of the semester fee for your ticket in the summer semester is now only 176.40 euros instead of 233.59 euros last winter semester, for example. You can now also use the ticket throughout Germany instead of just in the RMV area of validity.
What will change for you?
Your ticket will no longer be printed on your study chip. Instead, you can download the ticket to your wallet app (e.g. Google Wallet, Apple Wallet) using your smartphone via a link on the AStA website: https://asta-fra-uas.de/semesterticketbuero. This way, you will always have the ticket available on your smartphone throughout Germany. The validity period corresponds to the semester period; in the summer semester from April 1, 2024 to September 30, 2024.
What do you need to consider when switching between Study-Chip imprint and cell phone ticket?
The „Deutschlandticket“ for students will be valid from April 1, 2024. The download link will be available on the AStA website a few days before. After re-registration for the summer semester, the RMV semester ticket will be printed on your Study-Chip when you validate it until March 31, 2024 so that you can use local public transport seamlessly.
Please note: Please validate your Study-Chip as soon as possible – BEFORE your first examinations this summer semester – again, so that the correct validity period for your student status in the summer semester can be printed instead of the semester ticket by the end of March. This is the only way you can properly identify yourself in examinations.
