Our professors lecture, conduct research and facilitate the transfer of knowledge to society. These are highly qualified employees who ensure the quality of our academic portfolio and make our university a very appealing option outside Frankfurt too. However, the Rhine-Main region is home to multiple academic bodies, all of whom compete for the brightest people. We’re launching PROFfm so that we can continue to attract outstanding researchers to our university. We also want to make professorships at a university of applied sciences (UAS) better known throughout Germany and worldwide. The project will run until May 2027 and supports the appointment or reappointment of approx. 120 professors at Frankfurt UAS. Special focus is placed on engineering, computer science, law and health sciences.
PROFfm is funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research as part of the federal and state FH-Personal programme and managed by its project sponsor Jülich.
