Not only since the corona pandemic have companies and institutions been faced with the question of what their offices of tomorrow will look like. Far too often they implement schematic solutions in these considerations, which meet with resistance from their employees and do not have the hoped-for positive effect in terms of productivity and satisfaction.
Process Analysis
Christian Stumpf's doctorate therefore focuses on the process with which organizations develop new office concepts. He would like to examine whether and why the different needs of the users are not sufficiently considered. At the same time, he asks how people can be better empowered to correctly assess the impact of their new office space on themselves and their work and to describe and define their needs.
Change as an Opportunity
The aim of the promotion is to identify process factors that contribute to the new office space being a benefit for the users.
Practice Partner
"As we look to the future of work and place of work, we will be in a constant experimental mode for the next few years. At the same time, complexity and networking will also increase. Therefore, I consider the symbiotic cooperation between everyday practice and the Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences to be extremely promising and value-adding - an opportunity to shape the future properly!"
