Intensive courses A1 – B2 at the University

The Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences offers you free intensive German courses at all levels from A1 – B2 during the lecture-free periods (March and September/October). These intensive courses last almost four weeks and finish with a written and oral exam. You will get information about the textbook on the first day of the course.

After successfully completing the levels A2.2, B1.2, and B2.2, you can take part in the UNIcert® exam for that level (A2, B1, B2) and obtain a UNIcert® Certificate.

Upcoming dates: Monday, September 16 – Wednesday, October 9, 2024, 9:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m., on campus

  • For students who regularly attended a German course at the Frankfurt UAS in the summer semester 2024 and passed the course: Register (July 15 – August 26, 2024)  on campUAS
  • For all other students at the Frankfurt UAS: Register (August 9 – August 26, 2024)  on  campUAS

Online consolidation course B2+

Dates: Monday, September 16 to Wednesday, October 9, 2024, 9:00 a.m. - 12:15 p.m., online

Prerequisites: completed German language skills at level B2.2 (CEFR).

Course content: In this course, you will improve your listening/reading comprehension, expand your writing skills, review and consolidate your vocabulary as well as important grammatical structures at B2 level (e.g. passive voice, passive sentences, participle II as an adjective, nominalization and indirect speech). You will also learn how to write argumentative texts and express your own opinion/react to the opinions of others. You will practice discussing, describing/interpreting graphics and giving a short presentation.
