Goal of this project is the development of lightweight, stable and simple to construct sanitary partition walls. Because of its use in wet areas they have to be easy to clean and overall robust. The hypothesis is, that these mechanical requirements can be covered by the use of braced spacer fabrics and new design options can be found. Furthermore the new system should (pursuant to agreement) preferably obtain its full expansion and stiffness on site, to limit its transport volume and possibly to gain advantages for assembly. Because of the elasticity of the material, responding to installation tolerances might be more flexible.
Lightweight, textile based partition walls with defined transparency and optional coloring, with possible installation of sensors and lighting are being developed, which together offer great individual freedom of design.
