We are looking for a person with a proven track record in theory and practice in the field of "Artificial Intelligence" with a university degree in the relevant field of civil engineering, construction informatics or a related discipline to fill a professorship. The aptitude for scientific work in the subject area, pedagogical aptitude and competence as well as subject-related experience in a scientific context are required. The position holder should be able to represent the field of "Artificial Intelligence in Construction Industry" as a cross-sectional professorship in all relevant degree programs of the faculty. Teaching duties include theoretical and practical training in Bachelor's and Master's programs in the fundamentals and subject-specific application of artificial intelligence and machine learning, teaching the fundamentals of digital data processing and data analysis, offering in-depth elective courses, projects, and supervising theses. The ability to teach in German and English is required.
A special commitment to subject-specific research is expected. Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences fills an equivalent professorship in all departments and provides appropriate research landscape for the researchers in the field of AI with a data center and several NVIDIA DGX A100 GPU servers as part of the focus "AI@FRA Artificial Intelligence at Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences". The Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences has a professorship for AI in each of its four departments. It is desirable that they work together across departments in order to visibly and sustainably anchor the topic of AI as a cross-sectional topic at the university.

The position is available for an unlimited period of time. When first appointed to a professorship, employment is initially on a probationary civil service basis or on a permanent employment basis with a three-year probationary period.
