SKILL (Strategic Competence Platform - Innovative Learning and Teaching)
In the SKILL project, we want to establish a central point of contact with a guiding function for all questions relating to digital teaching design. Through SKILL, we are building the "ELLE" center (Center for Teaching and Learning), which docks onto the existing support and infrastructure for didactic and technical design, promotes the implementation of innovative teaching projects as a service unit and frees teachers from administrative tasks. As the technical-administrative platform, ELLE creates the basis for virtual teaching and thus increases the maturity level of the overall organization for practice-oriented learning and teaching in virtual, location-independent environments.
In addition to setting up the ELLE, four innovative digital learning formats are being developed, the design of which will serve as a template for a large number of other courses. The four SKILL sub-projects "FallbeiSpiele" (social work), "Design Thinking" and "Data Literacy" (both business informatics) as well as "Virtualization of distributed environments" (computer science) are each exemplary of the diverse and multifaceted digital innovation in teaching in our various disciplines.
The project is funded by the Foundation for Innovation in University Teaching (German only) as part of the funding measure "Strengthening university teaching through digitalization".
