Instructions to get started
Functions „STUDY CHIP“:
- Student ID for Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences
- Student ticket (German only) for public transport (imprinted semester ticket)
- Library card (building 3)
- Means of payment for the canteen and library (money deposit)
Note: For first-semester students the ticket is already imprinted.
What you need to do:
Please follow the instructions of the Student Service Center “4 steps in your enrollment”
The FranCa portal for students is the university portal for students at Frankfurt UAS.
After activating your CIT account you can access the FranCa portal using your CIT credentials in the bottom left section For Students.
Functions of the FranCa portal:
- Printing enrollment certificates of the current semester
- Printing of BaföG certificates
- Printing of performance records
- Registrations for exams
- Change of address
- Filing for leave of absence, part time studies, exmatriculation, or reimbursement

Functions „CIT-Account“:
- Access to several central online services
- Personal Frankfurt UAS e-mail address to receive study related information by the university. Please note: Using the university e-mail address is obligatory for all students. Important administrative information will be announced via the university e-mail address. Regularly checking your e-mails is therefore necessary (see IT-Rahmennutzungsordnung, only available in German)
- Student WiFi: You can use free WiFi on campus
- Student VPN: Access to our university network and over 7.000 e-books/databases no matter where you are
- Student learning platform: Your access to the learning platform campUAS, here you will find your lecture notes and information platform "Schwarzes Brett".
- Access to many more central university online services (web mail, i.a.)

What you need to do:
You activate your CIT-account as follows:
- The day after you finish your enrollment you will receive an e-mail by the identity-management-system (idm) of the university (idm(at)cit.fra-uas.de). The mail contains your login name and further instructions. Please follow the instructions and use your initial password as the activation code for your CIT account.
- After activating your account, you will be asked to select your personal password. At this point you can manage (and if necessary reset) your password by yourself.
- (!) In case you do not receive an e-mail by the idm-system, please send an e-mail including a scanned ID + your phone number and your degree course to servicedesk(at)fra-uas.. After verifying your access authorization, you will receive your login details promptly. For instructions on how to activate your CIT account see dehttp://bit.ly/CIT-Account (German only).
With the help of the information platform "Schwarzes Brett", we normally inform you online at short notice about changes to the timetable, room changes, postponements and event cancellations. In these times, the information platform "Schwarzes Brett" takes on an even greater role because we can send you course-specific information quickly and at short notice. This also includes the enrollment keys for your study programs!
Note: In order to obtain the information platform "Schwarzes Brett" subscription, you must have a CIT account.
Please enroll now in the campUAS course "Fb 3 Schwarzes Brett" for the subscription. The enrollment key is as follows according to your degree program:

Important note for our new students in the Business Administration program:
Please enroll in the campUAS course "Fb 3 Studienzüge" for the assignment. The enrollment key is: "Zug_BW123".
Select one of the degree program "Semester 1a" or "Semester 1b". Both degree programs are identical in content, but differ in time! You can find the timetables under the heading "Timetables" on our overview page "Repository for students at Faculty 3".
For the degree programs International Finance and International Business Administration a registration for "Fb 3 Studienzüge" is not necessary.
