Guest student status

Are you interested in becoming a guest student at Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences?

General information

Guest students are permitted to attend lectures totalling a maximum of twelve semester hours per week.
They are not entitled to take part in examinations but can receive a certificate from the lecturers confirming their attendance to the courses.
Becoming a guest students is not possible for all degree programmes, as for example the number of study places is usually already exhausted on degree programmes with NC admission restrictions.
If you are interested, you can contact the responsible lecturers and enquire about the possibility to become a guest student after we have sent you the application for the guest student status.

Application for guest student status

If you are interested in becoming a guest student, please contact the Student Services Center: studienbuero@fra-uas.de.

Please provide the following information:

Moreover, please send us a copy of your identity card or passport.

You will then receive the application for the guest student status from the Student Services Center.
The next step is to obtain the signatures of the lecturers of the desired modules. They can also reject the application.
The complete application for the guest student status must be received by e-mail at studienbuero@fra-uas.de as a PDF file no later than 2 weeks after the start of lectures.
The fee of €100 must be received no later than one week after the above-mentioned deadline.
The application for the guest student status becomes legally effective when it has been received in full and on time by e-mail and the fee has been received on time.
Subsequently, you will receive an approval of the application by post. This serves as proof of the guest student status.

University account during the guest student period

Please note that you will not receive a university account (CIT account) as you are not regularly enrolled. However, you can obtain access to campUAS as a guest student.
