Organizational issues

Module allocation and examination registration for the Social Work (B.A.) degree program takes place in two separate steps:

  •     Module registration via our learning management system CampUAS (In the first semester via the group selection in the "first semester platform" (log-in required) in CampUAS, from the second semester via the CampUAS course room "Module registration Bachelor Social Work: transnational")
  • Examination registration for the modules takes place via the student portal FranCa of the Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences under the tile Examination Registration & Deregistration.

Students will receive further information and the respective deadlines in good time via CampUAS.

Your studies begin with An orientation week for the entire institution of higher education will take place at the beginning of the semester. All students will then attend the introduction classes in esthetic work (module 5-unit 1). In the following week, there will be an introduction class into scientific work (module 5-unit 2). You will familiarize yourself with research options at the library („Teaching Library“), and an introduction into our e-learning portal 'Moodle' and are acquainted with the options of text production. This introduction is carried out in small groups. You will be informed about the exact dates by letter and on the first-semester orientation days.

First-semester groups

During the first semester you study in allocated 'first-semester groups'. This shall help you find your way into the course of studies. You can freely choose the lectures you would like to attend as of the second semester. Every first-semester group has a student tutor. You will get to know your tutor during the orientation week.

Mentoring

During the first semesters a lecturer will be at your side to help and advise you (so-called mentors). Do not hesitate and ask any questions regarding the course of study or other questions. You will find out who your mentor is at the beginning of the semester.

Integration courses for foreign students

Another note for foreign students: Please use the integration courses, which will facilitate your studies at the Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences.
