Description of the study program

The youngest of the dual programs at the School of Business and Law has developed rapidly and successfully. Who is surprised? Tax consulting is a profession with a long tradition and excellent prospects for the future. In a crisis-proof environment, you can expect professionally challenging and varied activities at internationally active tax consulting firms, medium-sized or small tax consulting companies or in the tax department of a commercial enterprise. The dual study program in taxation offers you a targeted and well-founded academic education that prepares you professionally and methodically for a career in the cooperating companies of the tax consulting industry. With a successful completion of the study program you have reached one of the possible starting points for the further path to the tax consultant exam.

Career prospects

This degree program is aimed at students with a strong affinity for the tax consulting industry who are interested in starting a career in a cooperating company. The dual study program qualifies them for a variety of management tasks at internationally active consulting companies, medium-sized or small tax consulting firms or in the tax department of a commercial enterprise.

Study structure

The dual program is designed for six semesters. The theoretical and practical phases take place alternately (usually in a 12-week rhythm) at Frankfurt UAS and in the cooperating company. In the theory phase, technical and methodological content is taught in the core subjects of business administration, economics and law. Parallel to this, there is a technical and methodical deepening of the studies in the field of taxation. During the practical phase, knowledge is imparted and deepened by means of practical problem solutions in the cooperating companies. Interdisciplinary thinking and networked action are particularly promoted by the close cooperation with strategic partners in the tax consulting industry within the framework of this study program. As a special benefit of the cooperating companies, you will also receive a training allowance for the entire duration of your studies!

The dual program in taxation (B.A.) combines the teaching of theoretical knowledge and skills at the Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences with application and in-depth study within the framework of operational study sections in the cooperating companies of the tax consulting industry. The significance of the dual profile lies in the combination of university studies and professional practice, which enables you to integrate your university studies with your professional qualification. The integration aims to give efficiency-enhancing impetus to both your studies and your professional work. The in-company study sections give you the opportunity to test, observe and discuss the acquired knowledge, skills and methods in your in-company activities and, beyond that, in higher-level decision-making situations. Experience from professional practice is ensured through case study work and applied project work in the taxation modules, among others.
