Kamerun-Cup (International Soccer Tournament)

Welcome to the Frankfurt UAS International Kamerun-Cup Website. Every year, the International Office organizes an indoor soccer (football) tournament, the “Kamerun-Cup”. At this one day tournament, with the support of the Evangelical Student Association at the Frankfurt University of Applied Science (ESG) and the Techniker Krankenkasse (TK), we encourage  the exchange between different nationalities and cultures inside and outside the playing field. In parallel tournaments, the female and male teams play in multinational and cultural teams for a cup. Besides the cup, there will be a list of different individual trophies.

(2) In the tournament can compete teams, whose players are at least a majority of students of the Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences. Exceptions must be agreed with the organizers at the time of registration. Only teams that meet the registration requirements will be considered. If more teams register than there are places available, the number of players enrolled at Frankfurt UAS decide on who will participate.

(3) Every team consists of one goalkeeper, four field players and a maximum of five substitutes, that – except for the goalkeeper – can be changed freely. Goalkeepers can only be changed due to an injury or during half-time after consultation with the referee.

(4) The playing time in the men's tournament is 2x5 minutes in each of the preliminary round matches and 2x10 minutes in the final round matches (semi-finals and onwards). In the women's tournament, the playing time is 2x5 minutes throughout the tournament.

In a preliminary round with two groups, which are drawn beforehand by the game organizers, every team plays one after the other against their respective group opponents. In an intermediate round, the two best-placed teams from both groups will then play each other crosswise. Both losing teams will then compete for third place, and the two winning teams will compete in the finals. If by the end of the regular playing time there is no winner, the game will last 5 minutes more. If there is still no winner after the extra time, we will proceed to a seven-meter shoot-out.
