  • Gender specificity in health care with a focus on youth/male specific orientations
  • Evaluations of the effectiveness of assistance services (acceptance, utilisation behaviour, adherence) within the correctional system (national and international), the work of health and social institutions (e.g. drug/AIDS assistance facilities, municipal/regional and also nationwide care structures)
  • Development of new intervention concepts (e.g. in addiction counseling and treatment), as well as development of methods (strengthening of social competence with the help of peer-involvement/empowerment strategies)
  • Planning of needs-based health care strategies and practice development (e.g. in the areas of addiction, HIV/AIDS and hepatitis; internationally, especially in the area of 'health care for imprisoned people'
